I can say that all my parrots are potty trained, to a point. There is the " Accidental poop
when your not looking.

So, what does your parrot call it or do
when there's an accident?

My Grey- greyson, what's that I ask, his response...."Pppppbbbbbbbtttttt" ( making farting noise.

My Zon Poppie- Poppie what did you do?
her response." Ick"

My Senni- Birdell, did you poop? ( Looks at it then walks away, or flys away..." Not mine"

Tyler my Ekkie- Tyler, did you poo, Looks at it
and then wants a kiss..." Amazing isn't it"

twinki- Twinki, you pooed on my hand- " No I didn't it fell out"

This is new for me. Neither my parrots comment. Venus, I swear doesn't go until I put her in or on her cage.

Buddy, I swear he holds it till he's on me. Then I feel him strain, squeeze, release, and he's happy. Me, I'm feeling the wet, mushy delivery he just left. No reply from either bird, lol.

LOL........More laundry to do huh. You have the silent treatment birds.

My Grey is a Character. he'll sit on my shoulder, while
I'm on the lap-top at dinning table...suddenly you hear a
"Phhhbbbbbbbbbbbth" fart-n noise, and look at him to my left, he leans forward looking at me, I say you didn't??? he'll bob head
up and down, and I go "Awww man" then he goes Oooohhhh. They are all potty trained ..to a point....they'll warn me and
I say wait!!!!!!!!!!! and my Zon and Grey will wait.... The rest are like, did you say something? Too late.

Gotta love him.

Sydney - Blue Front Amazon
Gonzo - Congo African Grey
Willow - Cockatiel
RIP:
Snowy, Ivy, Kiwi, Ghost - Parakeets
Berry - Cinnamon GCC
Gonzo yells "Make a poop!" but sometimes it comes after he's done... He also just says it repeatedly throughout the day so I say back "No, YOU make a poop!"

I'll hold him over a trash can and tell him to make a poop and he usually will, so that's a relief.

Sydney almost never poops on me, he's incredibly good about holding it, and will go when I put him on a perch if he needs to. Didn't train him, he's just been good since I've had him.

Willow my cockatiel? She just "bloops" all day, dropping bombs whenever she feels like it. They're pretty solid so they end up just rolling off! My Sun conure was the same way, she'd poop more frequently than any bird I've had.

RIP Gandalf and Big Bird, you are missed.
While none of my birds are potty trained, some appear to squirm a bit and often fly to a vantage point to poo. Other times they don't bother, and the first warning is a warm reminder on my arm or streak down the back of my bird shirt. **

Never have heard any specific sound from either end!

** Bird Shirt. Try saying that repeatedly until it comes out a bit mangled! :p

Not hard to Potty Train. Usually parrots have a favorite spot. Not always.

Bird shirt...I have a few of those, old shirts really. But yeah say that
fast enough and it does come out like ....eh, poop.

Try saying "Hoof Hearted" fast...lol

I have never really made a play at potty training but Plum picked up on it and will fly onto the floor to poo. When I ask him if he's done a poo he will come over to help me clean up by doing copy cat rubbing actions with his beak, ah bless.

Parrots of just about all spieces will comew to understand the word
poop and it's meaning, making it easy to potty train.

The hard part of potty training is to be consistant with the training all
day and know each birds poop schedule. before you know it
you have them all trained. It's when you slack off that's when
the bird will as well.

Greys and Zon's I notice tend to have a favorite pooping spot.
They really do not want to poop on you ( their mate). That's deemed
bad love by them.....They are emotional creatures and sense you
don't like a warm one down your back. Unless of course you
pissed them off and it's their way of pay back. And trust me
when you forget their daily treat, you'll know it. Mine will let you
know real quick.

Yes I can hear what you are saying and partly agree 'cos it comes unraveled when I am wearing a particular dressing gown/house coat. He makes no effort with this garment at all. He is better as mentioned above when I am in day clothes. I have had on occasion had to stop him eating his own poo off the floor??

If your bird is on your hand or arm and you notice that a poo is imminent (usually by a slight feather ruffling) and can move him/her over a piece of newspaper on the floor that is a start. Treats and praise will raise awareness over time. It is important that there is no pressure on the bird. It isn't good for them to hold off going as this can cause them health problems in the long term. Relaxed and fun is the way to go. :)
