So I recently had a major issue with moths at my house that ultimately ended up at my candy shop! So I had to go to war with these evil critters! Cause we can't have moths attacking my candy! They messed with the wrong food source! :mad:

JerseyWendy had asked me what I had done to get rid of them so I decided to write a blog post on how I combated these nasty pests!

Feel free to comment with your own tips if you like! But the following steps I took seems to be working! I hope it can help anyone else with this issue!

LOL! I've become a professional moth hunter! ;) So yeah, I've gotten good at smacking them down, too! :D

Great job Blanca!! Had no idea their breeding habits put rabbits to shame!

Some parronts freeze their stock of seeds/pellets/nuts once purchased, but I wonder if the eggs survive the cold temperatures?

Thanks Scott! I had no idea either! Crazy huh?!

Freezing is supposed to help. But many sites I read say you have to do it for 10 days at least. Some only a week. So I would say at least 10 days if not longer. Also I did read one site that suggested a week, then remove from freezer for a week and put back in for another week! So I guess it may be a trial and error thing.

I chose not to freeze anything and just threw out anything I suspected may be infested. Just to be safe! ;)
