Ok, so Paco wants to mate with me. She holds her wings down low and makes high pitched squeeky noises. What do I do? Should I put her in her cage? Should I ignore it? I know not to touch her back and not to encourage it.

Any ideas? Thanks

Is there anything else Paco does when she does this? Maybe she isn't indicating what you think?

If she is doing this, where does she do it; (eg., your hand, your foot)? Wherever she chooses to do that, move her to somewhere else, like your lap, knee, or shoulder. Should she persist, place her on her playstand/perch. Ignore her for awhile, and try holding her again. Just repeat the process until she gets the point.

Also, it is important that you DO NOT give her an artificial 'companion'. Some people will place stuffed animals in the cage, causing further frustration for the hormonal bird.

Try distraction of something like a new toy or new room. If that does not work than a time out would be ok.
