scooter-acg..zoee-blue/gold macaw..pair of parrotlets
 hi..it would be nice if there was a forum for parrotlets but this is ok too..i have a pair of green rump parrotlets i am trying to breed but not having much luck..i have have read alot on it but doing is alot harder..HA..my male is almost 3 years old..the female is 20 mon. old..they have been together since she was a year old..them mating is not the problem..they mate but that is it..he gets her to come in the breeder box with him but she comes right back out..i know i sound really dumb don't i.but this is all new to me..not parrots..i have a b/g. and a cag also..he is always feeding her, they preen each other ect..i love to watch how cute they are with each other..i have the box,it could be not enough lite??the last few days they have eaten their whold cuttle bone..i have heard this is a good dign..they never touched it before..and my house is pretty noisy at times..should i move them to a dif. room ..but i am not so sure how they will do being in a room by them selves..i go to the vet. this week for their check-ups but any advise you guys have i would love to hear..thanks again..deedee

Paulie ~ Blue Crowned Conure
I have never bred birds before but from what I've read I would definitly move them to a quiet room. Also they might feel safer if they are not where alot of traffic is.

Here is a good link for breeding parrotlets, there is a section on Green Rumps as well. It covers almost everything. Go to the "Basics of breeding Parrotlets" first, it gives you some great info.

http://www.parrotletranch.com/breeding.html

Good Luck to you, and let us know how these two get on.
