Salty HATES having his wings touched, always has. But I have been making a point of playing just a little bit more every night, when we are playing ( which consists of Salty on his back, trying to bite my fingers as I tickle him, he is not trying to bite hard, just play biting. Any-who, the point of doing that was/is to desensitize him to having the harness straps put under his wings. Talk about long range plans, I have been working on this with him for over a year, every night.
So, here is the culmination. Salty in his harness.

Also posted on his "Right now Salty is ...." thread but I knew there was some interest in seeing this, and folks may not want to wade through hundreds of posts to see it.

If there is reincarnation, I want to come back as your parrot. The bond between the two of you is simply beautiful.

Good boy Salty! Looking good in your red harness:)

A little work left to get him from chomping it, but he seems not to be freaking out about it either. A bit off topic, but I never realized how small Salty is. I knew YSA's were smaller amazons, but I guess I never realized just how much.

Salty is about 1/2 the size of a BFA,maybe a bit more.

LOL, Inger, my wife wants to come back as my parrot.

FlBoy, the hard part was ettin him to put his head thru the loop. he's only done that a few hundred times. Last few nites i just popped his head thru, no big deal. Patience , patience, patience.
