Hello folks!
Some of you know I have a parrot website that I am trying to fill with helpful info. Right now I'm working on a series about mutations, and it really is mostly pictures. But that means I need pictures! Is anyone interested in sharing a picture of their feather baby with me?

If you are, please provide a picture, the name of the bird, and your name or user name, however you would like the photo credit to read. Optionally you may also include you state or country if you want.

For my first few pages I'm looking for the following colors of birds:

-normal/wild type. Pretty simple, birds that look the same as their wild cousins. I'm PARTICULARLY in need of pictures of an adult green male Indian Ringneck.

-blue, white face, or "turquoise" birds. This gets tricky because some "turquoise" birds are BLUE like green cheeks, and some are PARBLUE like Indian Ringnecks. But I'll be making a parblue page soon so if you submit the "wrong" bird I can just use it later :)

-lutino (bright yellow with red eyes) birds.

-opaline, Pearl, or yellow-sided birds

I'll be doing more later! These are what I'm starting with! I prefer single mutation birds for these first few pages if possible and any contribution would really help me out!

Thanks friends!

Disclaimer:
I am a breeder. These photos will ONLY be used on informational pages about color and some health info on combining mutations and NOT as an advertisement, however some people prefer not to support parrot breeding in any way, shape, or form. I want to be completely upfront about what sort of web page I am running so only those comfortable with the situation participate.

Great project!

If it wasn't for the fact that I am such an Amazon Snob, I would have gotten my nose bent out of joint for not seeing the need for the truly Beautiful Parrots: The Amazons! :D

That all said, with what you are looking for, its going to be one wonderful and beautiful Site!

Rio (Yellow sided conure) sadly no longer with us
Here's a picture of Rio you can use!

I think he was a pretty good depiction of the yellow-sided mutation, he was at least very striking in his colours

Use as many of them as you, or any of the pictures from my album of him on here

Just put he was from the UK and his owner goes by the name Triggs

Okay, I have a few pictures. I don't know what all will help, but feel free to use whatever you want. If you use any of the parrotlet pictures, will you just credit them to TJ's Parrotlets?

First two are Ducky, my lutino IRN. He's a young male who hasn't ringed out yet.

Then a normal blue male parrotlet.

A dilute blue male parrotlet.

A turquoise female parrotlet.

A normal, wild color, green male parrotlet.

One more, almost forgot.

A male, American yellow male Parrotlet. He is not an ino. In parrotlets, yellow birds can either be ino, or have dark eyes and carry the gene for the yellow color the same way a recessive blue gene is carried, which is the case here.

Oh yeah, I thought, easy! No sweat!
Turns out Henry's ring isn't that old and Clarke is a camera hog! :D

I've updated the pages with the pictures I have received! I'm still just working with these few mutations, but I will probably tackle pied and cinnamon next. I'll try to improve the descriptions as we get more pictures, and eventually I hope to have a comprehensive set of pages that gives a good explanation and plenty of examples of each across as many species as possible, but for now I'll work with what I have as I get the chance (I'm in the middle of a move, a complicated pregnancy, and a few other things at the moment, so please forgive me when I'm slow!). I obviously want to get more practical articles up as well and update my hormone article to include more specifics about keeping a PAIR of birds.

Thanks so much for your help, friends! Keep the pictures coming!
