I am raising my first flighted bird, a (most likely female) BFA named Kizzy. Even though I've been working with her since she was around nine weeks old, she has definite negative opinions regarding being confined in a harness. We're certainly not ready to go flying yet.

I wonder if seeing other people fly their birds would make her accept the harness more quickly? She seems to recognize other birds in videos, so I'm going to let her watch the process of putting on the harness and going exciting places to fly. Also, the model / rival method with my mother "training" a stuffed parrot I just ordered may help. Hopefully, one of the harnesses I have will fit it, preferably the small one because I am going to use the medium for Kizzy. Let's just hope Pinchy McPliersface doesn't get too angry about my mother giving another bird attention. I'll have to watch her for signs of jealousy and Amazon overload.

Bumping you back up near the top of the Board to catch some more attention. NorCal is a tough area, since the number of Parrots and Member seem to be a bit lower in that area. You may have to expand your contact area!

Here's hoping you make a connection! :D

Not NorCal, but Northern Nevada, so could be close so could be close depending on where. That said, Fidget is not ok with the harness at all! I havent been able to get close to getting it on! I wish, hopefully someday!

Good luck finding someone!
