Just a gift idea or ornament! Works best with tiny feathers!

Oh, I love that!
Great way to decorate with beautiful feathers, and they could be saved and used forever.

Inger... that little bottle you have, with Bumble's tiny feather, would be adorable, just hung with a tiny little ribbon around the bottle-neck.

Really, any glass or plastic decoration, with feathers inside, would be wonderful.

For big feathers... hmmm... you could tie a bunch together with a pretty ribbon and hang that on a tree...

Or work into a wreath!

That's a great idea! I wish Kiwi's super pretty wing or tail feathers were small enough to fit in one of those ornaments.

Antic shops, Christmas shops, Specialties (glass items) shops can be a source for old fashion long (ripped tube) like ornaments that will just fit an Amazon Wing or tail feathers. Difficult to find, and if you see them, do not look at the price, just buy them, cause you will likely never see them again and will regret not getting them. Oooh, look for Blown Glass Artists shop that custom make on-sight! We had visited one in the Detroit Michigan area twenty years ago and saw, but didn't buy! Got lucky years later.

We purchased four at a Christmas shop in Christmas Michigan like eight years ago! Today, we wished that we had gotten a dozen!

Great idea and thanks for the memory!

The more colorful feathers (green/red/yellow) came from either amazons or macaws. The blue feather came from a hyacinth!

And these are 3" bulbs, too!

Hmmm... I do get the occasional very small yellow, red or microscopic blue one, but I never see feathers that small off him that are that small. His wing and tail have the multicolor ones. He's mostly all green on the body though. What species of amazon are those from?

Like I said, either macaw or amazon... quite possibly all macaw. Even then, I couldn't tell you which bird exactly. These feathers came from a rescue and rehome place for parrots and the feathers weren't kept separate.
