Hello and welcome! Prices may vary from those in the US, but if we assume roughly equal pricing most current parrot species that are going to be much more than just €100. If you don’t want a parakeet or cockatiel, you’re budget needs to be closer to €300 at least for something like a green check conure.

100 total or 100 just for the bird with more money for cage/toys/perches/initial vet visit etc...? Because if all you have is 100 Euros, unless those stretch a whole lot farther than a US dollar, you won't even be able to get a budgie with a proper setup for that.

That budget will get you a cockatiel or a couple budgies, maybe a lovebird or two. Anything bigger will be over your budget. Depending on the bird you choose, toys and food will also be a monthly expense. Consider saving more money (500 euros would be more like it) to get a conure and large, roomy cage, toys, perches and different kinds of food.

Cared for properly, their costs can really add up!

Totaly agree with Jackie. 100 euros is 123 us dollars for those uncertain. I agree with around 2 or 300 for the bird. At least 50 for the vet checkup. Most likely another 50 euros for healthy pellet food, fruit n veggies. Dont forget the cost of safe cleaning products especialy for the reused toys and cage. Odds are you may need to buy all new toys which wouldnt be many for say another 100 euros.

Your looking at around 500 euros if you dont already have the things i mentioned. The cage and toys, perches will need to be cleaned and disinfected safely before another bird uses them too. Its not cheap. I dont think you will get anything bigger than a lovebird for 100 euros. Best of luck x

Also don't forget you may need to ditch (get rid of) cooking pots and pans.
anything with Teflon needs to be removed or at least put up for storage and changed over to ceramic or other avian safe products.

A rescue bird for Sure or budgie/cockatiel. Assuming you have a cage already, toys etc. The initial outlay is expensive for a parrot but on going costs are reasonable if you are sensible.

For reference I got an African grey with suitable cage, java branch stand, and a month's food for £0.00p from a lady/rescue I know. I then spent a few hundred pounds on books/avian vet visit and toys. Enzos doesn't really want toys she wants interaction and household things to play with. I'm very lucky though, I did have a budget of £1500 initially but ended up spending that on lap dances and whisky
