I've been poking around and see that some members have Youtube channels, but I haven't seen a repository thread for favorites.

So who are your favorite bird vloggers / what are your favorite bird YouTube channels?

I love WingsNPaws. He's got such a great relationship with Smokey, and both of them are so chill and sweet, the videos are just a joy to watch. https://www.youtube.com/user/wingsNpaws

How about you?

Although she isn't perfect, and I don't always agree with her, I do tend to like Marlene Mc'cohen.

Same, she is also one of my favs.

I especially love her recount of birdy movie night. I dream of a day where my bird and I would sit and watch a movie together, or even a world where a bird loves to watch movies. My Kiwi hates the tv, lol. Subtitles are a birds owners best friend.

I also watch Marlene McCohen whenever I'm doing the daily cleaning of the bird cages. I like to hear and see her (and her birds) in the background. My sun conure seems to know when it's time for Marlene too and will often park himself on one of the perches with a clear view of the tv.

I think I've seen a video of his before (one with his mom and the bird in it). I think I will subscribe to his channel now because I've been recycling Marlene videos to play during the daily bird chores. Thanks for sharing this :)

African Grey Timneh
Timneh likes to watch Disney movies, and actually tries to fly onto peoples heads that she thinks look interesting. she gets within a few inches and then flies back to her perch or wherever. in the movie Moana she whooped when they got away from the crab guy on the water geyser. We just watch random videos. Cockatoo rants are so fun to watch. Gotcha the cockatoo is a fun one.

I used to like her a lot but after Picasso flew away it got weird. Not too long after he flew away she was clearing mourning him but then would post happy fun videos about how she was going to hit "X" amount of subscibers and it was just strange. Like "your bird flew away and based on that you're getting more subscibers and celebrating that?" I don't know but I hate to say it...she seems to be using her lost bird as a play to get more veiwers. I know her bird got lost and she did look for him for quite some time but still it just seems fake to me. Idk...

As some of you may know my Finley was away from me for 2 months and I was really really depressed and didn't want to do anything or go anywhere and I didn't even really post on these forums (besides pictures of visiting him) because it just reminded me of him. I can't imagine celebrating "X" amount of subscibers at any point in those 2 months and Finley wasn't even lost he was at an Avian Refuge and I knew he was safe.

This isn't a vlogger...but there is this reallllly cute video of an Amazon getting a bath and it is like my version of crack (not that I really know what crack is like, LOL!) I AM OBSESSED WITH THIS BIRD (who is seemingly, obsessed with BEARS haha)..Also, disclaimer-she is bathing the bird and sprays it a lot--not saying I love the frontal technique, but I love the bird (who seems very happy!!!).[ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RLsKlqiyuX0"]Bad Bird Bad Bird - YouTube[/ame]

This guy just cracks me up....(he is usually correct, but his presentation is funny to me :) ) ps:what he says is correct ONLY if your bird is definitely screaming for attention!

I like Marlene too, but I totally agree about the way she "handled" losing Picasso. I really hate to admit this, but at first I thought that it was a stunt for more views/likes, only because she didn't seem to really be that upset about losing her bird. And then she would say she was "out searching for Picasso" and would post a video of her "searching" for him, which wasn't her looking for him at all. In fact, it seemed to me like she wasn't looking for him at. And I posted all kinds of other places that she needed to post that he was lost that she hadn't done, like Parrot911, ParrotAlert, etc., a ton of them, along with calling all the local pet and bird shops, the rescues and shelters, and all the local vet offices to notify them in case someone brought Picasso in, so that they would know who he belonged to and would have her info...But she actually said something in her next "live stream", like "Guys, there's only so many things I can do and so many places I can call to look for Picasso, and there's really nothing more I can do"...That was very, very weird. And then as BoomBoom mentioned, it was like BAM!, okay, it's like Picasso never existed in the first place! She just stopped talking about him, stopped looking for him, and then was all about her 100,000 subscribers, and was happy and thrilled, and all about selling "merch", and that's it....So that entire situation is very odd...And Picasso's cage was also removed from her kitchen during the first week he went missing; that kind of made me more suspicious than anything else, he was missing for 10 days before she even mentioned it in a video (that was also really odd, she had been posting happy, normal videos for the entire first 10 days he was missing), and then on day 13, when Carolin Von Drama Queen came over to help her "search" for Picasso, lol, she asked where Picasso's cage was, and Marlene stuttered at first, then said "Uh, Picasso's cage is...uh, upstairs!"...So that has kind of ruined her Channel for me...

I can tell you what YouTube parrot Vlogger I don't watch...at least not seriously, sometimes just to check-in for a laugh or to read the new "click-bait" titles she's put up...:)

I found posts of hers on various lost parrot sites (presumably hers, anyway). Again, she isn't perfect. I wondered whether she just needed to keep going (as Youtube is likely part of her income)

I could not agree more. If it were me... I'd have handled it completely differently.

She did post Noodles, but not until 2 weeks after Picasso went missing. I'm not saying that she should be "perfect", lol, no one is perfect, least of all me, and yes, everyone is different in the way they handle things...But I have spoken to literally dozens of people who have followed Marlene for a long time and who really love her, but who were really taken-back by the whole Picasso situation. Based on the people I've spoken to, it's two different things she did that caused them to go "Whoa, something is really shady here": First, that apparently Picasso was missing for 10 days before she said a word about it, even though she made multiple videos each day that were happy and normal, and all about "getting subscribers" and selling merch, and then secondly when she had Carolin Von Petzholdt have her "helping" to "search" for Picasso...I don't know if you're familiar with Carolin, but if you are, then you know what I'm talking about. And I just got sucked-into a really horribly "dramatic" situation with Carolin through a friend, and I should have known, anything that has to do with Carolin is nothing but "drama" for clicks, views, subscribers, and money..."Clickbait" doesn't even begin to describe her YouTube channel and the way she runs things...

I like Marlene, and I actually felt guilty for thinking that the whole Picasso thing was just a stunt for money. I really did. But I wasn't the only one, not even close. I think a lot of these really shady, awful Vloggers are bringing down the good ones who actually care about their birds/pets right along with them. And that makes me sad.

Eek- didn't realize. That is a bit sketchy. I really want to like her, as she appears to care about her birds, but that certainly raises questions.

I have Marlene on the back burner myself. Follow donā€™t donā€™t really pay attention. I canā€™t really fault her for posting happy smiling videos while dealing with Picasso. Life goes on and as noodles pointed out, YouTube is likely part of her income. Donā€™t want to post constantly depressing content and lose viewers/subscribers.

I follow parrotsrus on instagram, where Iā€™m far more active. I admit I get a little put off sometimes. Over the last couple months since sheā€™s formed partnerships the content has become overly commercialized. Everything is ā€œbuy Kramerā€™s birdie bread!ā€ Or some other ware.

Also, people look up to her as this parrot guru l, but I absolutely cringe when I watch her target training videos, her technique needs a lot of work.

I want to tread carefully as I say this however, because I donā€™t want to be overly critical. she seems like a very sweet lady who means well and does in fact take very good care of her [very expensive] flock, and very much advocates proper nutrition. Admittedly takes some stuff so much farther than I ever would (like soaking fruit and veg for a half hour in ACV...ainā€™t nobody got time for that).

So Marlene just earned a bunch of points with me...She went "free-flying" with Carolin Von Petzholdt last night I guess, and Carolin was giving a guy in the park with his dog, who was running off leash, a bunch of crap, and the guy called her out by saying "Well, why is your bird allowed off his leash, but my dog isn't? So you want me to always put my dog on his leash and not let him run free so that you fly your bird off of his leash free?" I was loving this guy too...and then of course Carolin didn't have the GPS on her bird, as she NEVER does, and Marlene finally called her out on it! She addressed that she's always seeing her losing her birds and wondering why in the hell she doesn't have them wearing the GPS units that she has for them (she readily admits she has actually lost Hope, her Macaw, a total of 8 times, once for 3 days in the desert and he almost died)...Carolin of course had to make a video about how Marlene just called her out on her free-flying her bird irresponsibly...She just will never, ever get it...

Rio (Yellow sided conure) sadly no longer with us
the thing I dislike about many bird blogger vloggers cloggers sloggers ETC is they just become more and more enamored by money. There's one I saw that gave me some good tips when I first got a bird called Mandy and rio and there was some good info there

I'd like to do a sporadic type thing if I ever get a bird again and keep the entire thing demonetized to keep it 100% about info to look after birds
