Prices at the fair

So I am back from the bird fair.

I did not stay very long but that's another story.

CAG eyes still black one seller wanted $2,800.00 Was very friendly and I spent a while scratching it (not going to keep typing him/her).

Another seller wanted 1,800.00 for young CAG. I did not look closely at them cuz I was looking at something else.

White bellied Caiques $ 1,500.00 Don't know how young.

I don't think I saw any birds with prices marked, you had to ask for the price.

I saw many Amazon's BFA, YNA, DYA, and.... Green Cheek Amazon's

I completely forgot to take my camera. I took a few pics with my cell phone and I hope to upload them soon.

Re: Prices at the fair

Any Patagonians there?
I paid $500 or so in 1984 for the Rb, and I have seen them recently for about the same... no appreciation there! (On many levels).

Re: Prices at the fair

None, I was looking.
They had some at the February fair and I expected to see some.
Overall I think there was less birds than the last one.
I was surprised. I would think the fall would have more young birds available that in early spring.

Saw a guy walking around with a white belly caque and spoke with him a bit.

He said that his bird really does hop around just like all the youtube videos.

I saw a Patagonia on Craigslist this summer, asking 200...
