My favorite foraging toy is the food tumbler from Caitec due to the precise amout of force needed to get the treats out at the hardest setting. Also: it has different settings for how difficult the toy should be!

Sammy loves it and despite him knowing exactly what he should do it still takes him about a minute to empty it (better than the 10 seconds for his other foraging toys!).

I like it. I got it from Northern Parrots Food Tumbler Foraging Parrot Toy

Sunny a female B&G macaw;
Japie (m) & Appie (f), both are congo african grey;
All are rescues- had to leave their previous homes for 'reasons', are still in contact with them :)
That is a great one indeed!

Have you tried the https://www.papegaaien.org/Foranging-Wheel ?
Not difficult at all but extremely practical ( I have a slightly different one, only one hole) Japies uses it as his standard foodcup. (The pellets do not get wet/ dirty so they are fine untill eaten)

That was one of his first foraging toys! I still have it but prefer the food tumbler as I prefer the design of that one - but I will keep the wheel for my CAG (and eventually rotate it bak to Sammy).

One of his favorites at the moment is the Rings of Fortune https://www.papegaaien.org/Rings-of-Fortune

Oh fun, mine are still at the level 1's most of the time.
(they loved the foodtumbler, even at the hardest setting)
I cant wait to see what they will do with that rings-of-fortune one :)
most of the toys are just foodbowls once they have solved them - but still quite usefull.

They have the full set now (pure luck) Nature`s Instinct Foraging Parrot Toys Kit only the left one is green instead of clear.

Fun thread.
I have a hard time finding foraging toys that GCC's can operate - either because they require too much force or they have holes that GCC's could get their heads stuck in.
So far the Mastermind Heart is my girl's favorite.

LOL reversed problem here: find something that is up against a macaw-powered-demolition-force-of-one ;)

Selfmade toys never last long - she does not need to think about solving it - she just pushes the beak through and gets the reward that way...
