Poor girls pac o bird!

I got this as a fun way to take my birds on walks! As I could not afford the pack o bird.. I love that it was less than fifty bucks!!! I love that the parrot can really see out! Probably don't like it will be hard to clean and may not hold up. Neptune was brave and seemed to enjoy our scooter ride!! Merry Christmas to me ( was gift to self)

Re: Poor girls pac o bird!

I think Beebs would love it too! I think it's going to add lots of enrichment to my birds lives! I also got the flight harness, but I'm afraid to start training as with all that went wrong with Ta-dah. But with this tote a bird everyone can still get out and about!!!! I love it! If it wasn't storming now I'd take out the others... I got it on the Amazon

Oooh where'd you get that. It would be perfect for Apollo until I get him harness trained (and for car rides)

Re: Poor girls pac o bird!

Amazon baby ! I don't know the real name of it , there is no brand on it, I just looked under travel cages and I had to look through many to find it. I really really like that they can see everything! But that also made Neptune scared when a buzzard was flying high overhead. I'm g hoping the more he gets out the more he will feel bold. He did really well for his first time!!
Edit : here is the name Colorday Lightweight Bird Carrier, Bird Travel Cage

Re: Poor girls pac o bird!

That looks great!! I also don’t have the Pak-o-Bird — too expensive!! I agree that taking them outside is really beneficial. When it’s warm enough, I take my birds outside in their travel cages and put them on the table to soak up some sunlight. I am also in the middle of harness training Kermit right now - it’s a slow process, but I’ve made it very positive for him and so far no setbacks. Since I live in Illinois and it’s winter right now, they’re not going outside anytime soon! (Which leaves plenty of time for harness training)

Re: Poor girls pac o bird!

Pretty cool! And he can see 360-degrees out of it!!! Just make sure you don't leave them inside of that out in the sun or in the car, I know you know this already, but I just had to say it, because that will heat-up like an oven very quickly. Other than that it's awesome!

I'm all about DIY and cheaper alternatives, and the Pak-o-Bird things are ridiculously expensive, nice, but expensive...I made my own out of a $40 Ozark Trail Hiking-Backpack from Walmart. Looks like a Pak-o-Bird. Smells like a Pak-o-Bird. And I lied to Kane and told him it's a Pak-O-Bird...
