It's been awhile since I posted so might as well do an update with some pics!

Apollo finally has all her flight feathers back and she's getting really good at flying. She's actually learning how to lands and has picked Lincoln's cage and the back of my head as her primary landing spots. Before she would just smack into my head and then.make a uturn and fly somewhere else and eventually fall to the ground. While I was doing recall training with her though she took off and got nervous and did a uturn and landed back on the training stand. I was very proud of her for that because she was learning to control her flight and have purpose instead of frantically flying or solely flying to me.

The importance of having a screen or windows closed. Apollo still hasn't quite learned that windows exist and goes to them but today I had my window open because it's so hot but thankfully I have a screen otherwise Apollo would be gone. And even if I managed to keep track of her in our woods she's not a confident enough flier to come down from trees.

Last on Apollo, she's finally started to regularly eat chop. Except it turns her face orange.

I think I walked in on something I shouldn't have.... Lincoln RARELY holds his toys unless he's super intent on killing it. He really likes the giant puff balls that I make (and sell >>)

Awhile ago I was invited to join a local parrot group and I was so excited to join, every 2nd Saturday of the month they host workshops and this time it was making toys! So they showed us how to make these toys and I made 1 for Lincoln and one for Apollo. Lincoln liked his but Apollo didn't really care.

Oooooh, that puff ball looks great! I'd totally buy that if only international shipping wasn't so expensive :(

Thanks for sharing the cute pics - you've inspired me on how to improve my DIY toy making :)
