Well I went out and did it. I wanted a second bird. I wanted an older bird. I NEVER wanted a baby yet here I sit in front of the cage of a 3 to 4 month old Nanday Conure. Iāve had success with older well raised rehomed parrots, but a baby? Sheās not wild, but sheās not exactly tame. As I sit by her cage every time I picked up my water bottle she would screech. Sheās figured out thatās not dangerous but she knows nothing. When I come in the quarantine room to sit with her she does a lot of shaking and fluffing and tell wagging. I presume sheās shaking off stress and maybe hoping to convince me sheās someone to be reckoned with. She wants to be friends but is unsure. I know all the steps when bringing home a new bird but Iām clueless with baby. Could you direct me to resources and give me pointers specific to raising and socializing a baby.
