This has been a busy winter for me, away from home about 3 weeks a month, five to six days a week. At least I get to see her on weekends.
Since Nike seems to be bonded equally well between my wife and I she doesn't suffer while I'm gone but my wife has to bear the brunt of her neediness.
When I get home she is on my shoulder constantly and there's nothing more relaxing than her beak grinding.
I'm actually planning on being home next week so that will be a nice change...cant wait for that.
I do need to get her clipped for the spring but there are still a few feathers that I'd like to grow in before I do that but we'll see....my wife is beginning to complain more and more. She needs to get work done but I'm perfectly content to sit around on my weekends home with Nike on my shoulder.
I usually stop working in April for the summer but may extend that a little as there is a bunch still needing to get done, we'll see.
Did I say I'm miss Nike? There's really no other point to this thread.
