Hi guys!

This is really random but... does anyone else’s bird lick the water droplets off them after a shower?

Stanley is absolutely obsessed. If I don’t immediately get dressed and sit in my bathrobe, he’ll come lick every drop of water off my shoulders that he can.

I’d love to hear about any other weird quirks your bird has too!

YES!!!!

Enzo joins me for showers, she walks along the glass shower unit chatting away. As soon as I turn the shower on she makes her drink noise and waits for me to get my hands wet and she drinks the water droplets from the ends of my fingers. They do love the routines!

BTW when I was a young lad, Joey, my first budgie used to fly to me when I was in the bath, id put him on my tummy and tense my stomach muscles so Joey was in 2cm of bath water. He would take his bath and then id put him on the tap and he would preen… HE was ace, my shadow!

Yes!
I thought that it was only my birds...
When I clean the cage bars as well (every 6 days btw) and don't dry them. Both my birds would go around licking the water off their cage bars!
The same goes with perches. Though I try my best to dry all of the thing. It seems like this is their favorite activity!.
They won't lick water off my finger or something else though, only wet perches and cage bars. They look so cute going around, excitedly licking the water off.
Thanks
