Ringneck on shoulder

So my ringneck who hates hands isnt trained at all and will only step up on the stick. When he does he tries to bite my hands. Anyway he flew and landed on my shoulder, I dont think this has been the first time he has tried it as before he always flew near me so would it be safe for him to land on my shoulder.

RIP Gandalf and Big Bird, you are missed.
Your ringneck is very safe on your shoulder, a favorite perch for parrots! Question is whether you are safe.Shoulder privileges are earned because a bite to your neck or face is painful, can be disfiguring, and in rare cases, depending on bird size, lethal. You want to verify the bird is trustworthy and will leave the shoulder when you choose without drama leading to biting.

Was he aggressive and/or biting before learning to fly to your shoulder? If not and you trust him, all is good!

Never towards my face I put my face right up to him all the time it's only my hands he dislikes but I heard ringnecks are hand shy anyway.
