Where is your parrots cage?

Finding the right stop, that you like and your parrot likes.
That's the main thing putting it where your parrot feels comfortable.
Look at the ceiling if a vent is blowing on the spot. You can get a vent block which re directs the air flow away from the area. Next lighting is there enough light on the cage. Parrots eat during the day more light during the day the better. I have an 8' floresent light on the ceiling.
I put my cages in the livingroom that way if I am working on something or just reading, watching TV. They are right there if they can't come out. I have to rotate from dog to parrot time out.

Our cages are in the living room/dining room so they are right nearby always. And they are out of the cages for most of the day, as much as possible.

FYI: "8' florescent light" that do not have a metal grate to protect the bulbs from something contacting them is problematic in that when (not if) a bulb is broken, the resulting rain of tiny pieces of glass, dust and mercury is dangerous to everyone!

When you switch out bulbs look at Daylight series bulbs as they have a better light spectrum for your Birds.

Ours sit in the Open floor plan of the living, dinner and kitchen area. Huge window areas with a General East and South exposure!

Both of Meisha's cages are in active areas. She is seldom confined.

At our home, the cage is in the living area close to the kitchen.

At my office, it is close to the front entrance.

I've got cages in four areas: Two flight cages in finished garage with windows, a bedroom converted into "indoor aviary" with 4 uncaged birds, (doors always open) one bird in family room, and sleeping cage in my bedroom. Makes cleanup a longer event, but spreads them out into zones of "cooperation."

I keep my cages in more isolated but bright areas. Everyone but the macaw is in my bedroom which has floor to ceiling windows. Not a high traffic area but they can still hear everyone in the house & people to do walk through sometimes.

My macaw is on the top floor in a spare bedroom that has a door I keep shut. Stays bright in there all day too since it has a nice big window. He can’t hear anyone downstairs unless we are extra loud but he knows when we are on that floor.

I don’t cage in high traffic areas. I’ve only had it cause issues with noise instead of helping. So I cage in low traffic bright areas & take them out to the high traffic areas which have stands every where.

Salty's cage is smack in the middle of the open floor plan kitchen, dinning room and living room area, basically where it all happens in our house. He is up by 10AM, out of his cage by 2PM and is out until bedtime at 10PM. He has his breakfast in the cage ( all dry foods - pellets, nuts and Nutraberries) and his lunchtime snack (alternating small veggies, like peas or corn, diced up fruits or a cooked carrot in his foraging hanger) and his dinner of chop both served on his hanging, overhead, play chain.

Alboes are near our living room window, he loves watching the world outside next to hubby's pc and his sleep cage is by are bed, again he loves it there too and there is nothing sweetee than waking up to his little whispers of love you and peekaboo and lots of tiny kisses.

Mccoys cage is by the window in our living room. He is next to the TV so he can't see the screen as he doesn't seem to like it.

Spock (common Mynah) is in the same room, but on the far wall, she looks out of the window, but is not near it as the outside birds disturb her.
