Some birds give out a type of bark when excited or when
trying to prove their dominance.
Are they talking about parrots?
The only time my girl lowers her head forward even slightly then it is because she is going to bite. When she wants a scratch then she throws her head backwards, her whole body starts quivering, her eyes flash and she makes cluck sounds - very cute.
Just goes to show that every one is different - just got to love them!
