Happy Hatchday Mister Duke!

According to the papers we found at my brother in law's, today is Duke's 11th hatchday! I'm going to attempt to upload some pics:

Before he came to my mother in law, just a baby:

Upside down, sorry, no clue how to rotate it! But this one is him at mother in law's house. Still very young.

Here's the most recent pic I have. His head feathers are growing in nicely.

Congratulations Duke! As with us Humans, you only get one Hatchday per year, so enjoy it! Rumor has it that your Human Staff Person has a couple of surprises planned! After all, you only get one each year!

Aw happy hatch day dukers!!

Poor guy, I’m noticing a LOT of males looking rough on the head lately. Even Parker for the first time has a little bit of thinning on top.

Sailboat, we got a comfy perch -- the rope ones, you know? -- and a cool shredded paper pouch type toy. Those are so surprising that he won't go near them. Too new, I guess. He'll figure them out in time.

Tonight's supper will be extra fruity, I got him some kiwi, he loves to chop it up himself.

Chris, thanks. Hope Parker keeps his lovely green crown. I think Duke's was a mojo molt. He was really bad for awhile, bald cheeks, going around his eyes and up on top. It's slowly filling back in.
