Try being a Baritone with an accompanying Amazon and its just not pretty, not at all!

Here is his rendition of my lullabye. When I first got him, he missed his old home, I guess, and would screech at night until I would sing. I still do lullabyes. Sometimes he "sings" with me. I swear to GAWD that I have a decent voice, but you'd never know that from the bird's version.
The room is dark, so there's nothing to see... the television is still on low in the next room... it must be time for...

A Rickeybird Lullaby.

Yes, he likes to accompany his lullabyes with his bell; his Rival reacts by turning the TV up, and pretty soon everybody is yelling, and there is a gradual escalation into craziness.
I think we're learning that lullabyes and parrots may not have been part of the Divine Evolution of the Universe.

A trip down Memory Lane, from your humble Scrapbook Archivist..............

From exactly three years ago today, 1-9, in 2017.

We're barely into a new year, and yet a quick look back into the Scrapbook Archives tells us that the more things change, the more they stay the same.

Somebody dropped this in the Scrapbook a while back... I saved the image but not the original poster's identity. It bears re-posting here!

Re: The Rickeybird Scrapbook, 1984 - Updates

Well DANG!

I meant to post this for New Year's, but I forgot!
Am I too late?
It's still January!

"2020"
Sung by The Rickeybird...
(You can sing along, too, to tune of the New Year anthem "1999", by Prince)

"I was screamin' when I wrote this
Forgive me if I poop away!
When I woke up this mornin'
Coulda sworn that it was New Year's Day.
My cage door was open,
There were humans runnin' everywhere
Tryin' to run from my destruction,
And you know I didn't even care!

'Cuz they say two thousand-zero-19 party over,
Oops, out of time!
So tonight I'm gonna party like it's 1999!
(((((((((I was only 15 then!!!!!)))))))

I was screamin' when I wrote this
So bite me if I go too fast!
But life is just a chile, and a chile wasn't meant too last!
War is all around us, my mind says prepare to fly,
So if I gotta die I'm gonna listen to my chiles tonight!

Yeah, they say two thousand-zero-zero-18 party over,
Oops, out of time!
So tonight I'm gonna party like it's 1999!!!!
Yeah!

Lemme tell ya somethin',
If ya didn't come to party,
Don't bother bangin' on my cage!
I got a lion in my beakie,
And baby, he's ready to rage!
Yeah, all these rulers got a bomb,
We could all die any day!
But before I'll let that happen,
I'll scream my life away!

C'mon, c'mon, c'mon, get in the zone!
Fun roosterz, g'on!
Hot henz, come on!

C'mon, sing this song!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"[/QUOTE]
