I would wear a long sleeved shirt that can pull down over my hand. Do you have a clicker? You could start by clicking the clicker, take her a way from the cage, each click she gets a treat. After Sky learns the clicker means treat, then with your long sleeved shirt on do a few step up commands with the clicker. So Click & then treat, then offer praise. Keep the sessions fairly short and try to end on a good note with her, so she will be excited to come out. When she starts getting used to you more you can move the sleeve back gradually and she should then get use to your hands and and learn to trust. I bought a really nice clicker ring that has an elastic band so you can wear it on your index finger and click it with your thumb. I really like it, makes it so much easier to not have to hang onto a target stick, clicker, and treats.
I use the regular clicker if I’m using a target stick and actually hold it on top of the target stick.
