Hello,

I am a beginner about indian ring neck.
I have found 2 new ring neck (about 4-6 week). But I am afraid if they are comfortable or not. Here is my observation below please any one suggest me the behaviour is normal or not.

Ringneck 1 :
Eating good.
eaching after bath more.
sitting on the cage stand.
after bath some times one eye close.

Ringneck 2:
eating good.
eaching after bath very rare.
sitting bottom of the cage.
much time one eye close.
very less sounds.
sitting idle (less active)

Please suggest me if any abnormal behaviour. I want make them comfortable as much as I can.

How long ago did you get them. Sometimes they need time to open up. Do they have sunlight. You may need an avian lamp in order for them to absorb vitamins. Mine was quiet for a long time after he was adopted, but one day he perked up. I even took him to the vet to check what was wrong, I think he was just shy and lazy a bit, ate too many seeds. Are they getting fruit and pellets as well as supplements?

Sorry i am late to post here and i am no expert by any means infact im raising my first ringneck babies right now. I took them out of the nest when they were 2 weeks and they are only 5 weeks old now. Anyways..... what do you mean by: after each bath? i dont know if i would be giving baths to a ringneck that young yet other than wiping formula off of them with some tissue paper dipped in lukewarm water. Just a thought though.

Hey! I have gotten my baby ringnecks too recently and they're a month old now but try not to give them baths frequently as they're more prone to getting pneumonia. If their mouth is getting dirty because of handfeed wipe it off with a baby wipe or tissue dipped in water and if they have poop stuck to their legs and butt then just clean that area off and don't let the water get to their head/beak/wings. Also what formula are you feeding them?
