Just got an INR last day from some one. he is active and teases my African Grey too much my stealing his food from his cage. He is loosing his feathers may bi because of Molting or may be because of the food previous owner is giving him i.e sunflower seeds only.

Hello,
Please get his blood and feathers tested ASAP; that is not a normal molt it appears to be PBFD, a deadly and VERY CONTAGIOUS virus. It could kill your whole flock. Please quarantine him immediately, sanitize everything with an oxidizer such as BLEACH (ammonia and other non oxidizing cleaners will not work).

That's also what I think ...... but I dared not to say it at first.
But it seems suspiciously like PBFD.
If it is PBFD, then your other birds already infected.
Before you take another bird in your home ..... always first a blood test related to diseases!!

That seems scary. but as i have researched on PBFD my bird is highly active right now.

My Mother's Peach front conure is highly active and energetic
But he has PFD.

No colored feathers just his grey ones everywhere.
MOVE HIM TO ANOTHER ROOM NOW.

Your other bird might not be dick yet if his immune system is strong. Please take action right away before you lose both of your birds.

Please do as other have said...
It is extremely important to quarantine any new birds (whether you think their sick or not) as birds are great at hiding sickness (1 month at least - or that's what I do). You should remove the new bird to a completely new room, and test for PBFB as soon as you can (and test your other birds as well, just in case). You should also be using different clothes, feeding equipment, ect (for whatever comes into contact with the bird) and showering between interacting with this bird and others (at least until tests are done, and whether they're positive or not). PBFB is highly contagious...

I've personally seen what it can do to birds... Its not pretty..

An update regarding the INR is that hi is happy and still active and no more feather loss since we bring him to hone from the previous owner.He eats lots of food that also included fruits as well loves apple.

Even if he is still losing feathers you really need to test him. The test is $20.
