I figure since other species can vary so greatly, that IRNs are no exception. By my own experience as well as observation of others, it seems that certain species have a tendency for the normal range to vary more widely than other species. I'm sure there are plenty of IRNs outside of that range. Hopefully you'll get a good sample of IRN owners who know their birds' weights chiming in. A bird store I know of has an IRN that has been there a while (not sure if it's for sale or not) who is very large for the species. So much so that I had to do a double take the first time I saw him. And it was a pure IRN for sure.

There is a wide range, which is why it is important to know the healthy weight for your specific bird, not just the species. I would suggest going by the weight of your bird at their vet exam, provided all the gram stains etc come back clean, and provided your vet says your bird is in good condition.
