Worried about my parrots food

I have been feeding my IRN "parrot food" I bought from a pet shop, it contains a variety of different things such as monkey nuts, sunflower seeds, dried banana etc.

However when I was researching whether to buy him a bag of monkey nuts for more effective clicker training (they're pretty sparse in the mixed food bag) I discovered that both monkey nuts and sunflower seeds are susceptible to mould spores which can be potentialy deadly to parrots.

I'm eager to find him a healthier alternative because I don't want to risk his health by continuing to feed him this stuff for much longer.

What is the recommended diet? and will he be okay with his current food in the interim before I purchase him some new stuff? I can't really give him nothing to eat in the mean time.

Is wild bird food a big no no or is it acceptable if I can get it in pellet form quicker?

IRN's will appreciate a variety of vegetables especially leafy greens (chard, kale, carrots, corn, squash) and some fruits in their diet.

That 'parrot food' does not sound the best to me. Have you tried an organic pellet?

This link may help? DIETARY ADVICE FOR ASIATIC PARROTS (INDIAN RINGNECKS, ALEXANDRINES ETC.) » Currumbin Valley Birds & Exotic Vetrenarian - Gold Coast

I've only had him for 2 and a half weeks so I haven't tried much variety yet, just the "parrot food", millet and some fresh fruit (which he doesn't seem interested in).

Thanks for the help I'll check out that link.
