Floyd, 3 yo Green Indian Ringneck parrot
Not sure if this is a call to the flock, or a challenge for territory.
Pinning and head bobbing. Posturing and loud calling.
Any ideas on what's running through his head would be greatly appreciated.

I'd say he thinks the mirror birdy is a pretty birdy...

I'm not a big fan of mirrors, as they can have some negative impacts on parrots. If he only gets a *little* mirror time, it's probably fine, but it's not something I'd encourage or allow frequently.

I agree with you Monica. Salty gets a look every now and then, and some times he starts attacking the mirror. Usually though he's not much interested in the bird, more in the second AL in the mirror.

Rio (Yellow sided conure) sadly no longer with us
haha I think a bit of "who you? What dis? Why you?" going on

I never kept mirrors in permanent view but after Rio learnt mirrors were not extra rooms he was pretty uninterested. Though every now and then he would go make sure "Evil Rio" was kept in his place
