Hello! It's been a short while since I've been on here. So I am hopefully getting my first hand reared baby ringneck next year. I have been constantly researching about everything to do with ringnecks! I met one in person the other day in a pet shop near where I live. I got really close to the bird and it screamed very loud whenever I got close to the cage, so now I know what it sounds like, this was a obviously untamed ringneck. The price for the bird and the cage is only £145 so I think that speaks for itself and I spoke to the guy in the pet shop and he said noone can go near it or handle it. But to be honest it was no where near as bad as I thought, it made my ears ring a little but it has made me feel a lot better about the noise level actually! I was expecting to have my hands over my ears lol. But I'm posting because I want to know more about parrot training from experienced people, is there an order I should train my parrot in? What training should I research on? I want to be able to train the bird to be well behaved, not a biter or constant screamer (I know all parrots scream for many reasons and I'm fine with it every now and again). I just want to make sure I train the parrot the right way and give it and myself a good life together :D
