Losing feathers

Hello everyone,
I keep finding tail feathers of my ring necks at the bottom of the cage, (3 in the past 5 days)
I have a male and a female, they bicker sometimes. Should this be something to worry about?
I have had the male for 2 weeks and female for 5 days. Iā€™m constructing a larger cage, could the cage size be the problem ? The seller confirmed the wrong age (saying 2 months but the males black ring is developed so obviously older than 18 months)

She is likely pulling his out if she hasnā€™t accepted him as a mate. This can escalate to deadly violence quickly. I hope you quarantined them and gave them enough time to acclimate to each other before you caged them together.

Thank you for the reply,
I think she is losing her own feathers, and I introduced them to each other for 2 days before caging her, she lost one of her feathers when we just got her and my mom said it was likely cause of the way she was handled, Iā€™ll try to separate them as soon as I can

I also misread that as 5 in the last 3 days, but 3 in the last 3 days could be a normal molt.

Okie thank you,
May I also ask for advice because all they seem to want to eat is shelled peanuts and Iā€™m slowly introducing fresh fruits and vegetables. Are there any tips ?

Yes; take away the peanuts ;) Ringnecks are voracious and usually not too difficult to get on a good diet. Peanuts are extremely high in fat and protein and too many can damage their kidneys among other things. If they arenā€™t breeding they donā€™t need ANY peanuts. Breeders can benefit from maybe one peanut a day but you have to be careful of aspergillosis.

Is this pretty much all common nuts? I try to avoid it but mine likes almonds, walnuts and especially cashews - all unsalted. Maybe a few a week.

Mine also eat the dry hulled millet from the supermarket and seed/pellet variety mix, but are very picky about what they eat out of that - they don't seem to touch any of the manufactured bits and only half the seed types.

I was going to try a popular pellet brand.

Of course I offer them fresh fruits and veggies and they only occasionally get deep into it.
