My Bird is very silent

Its been nearly a month since i got my IRN parrot. It is pretty scared of everything, everyone. He/she does not like most of the veggies that i feed. All that tokyo eats is sweet corn, apple, pomegranate and sunflower seeds.

Whenever tokyo is kept outside for a sun bath, i can hear tokyo move around actively and making sounds. Once i bring it back in, silent and paranoid again.

It also has something on its head which i examined properly, few days back. It looks like the skins we humans get after an injury. It looks hollow but feels bumpy.

The beak seeps to flake and feel off.

Is it something i should be concerned about regarding its silence?

How do i get tokyo to have healthy food?

Is the beak peeling normal?

The beak peeling is usually due to some sort of vitamin or mineral deficiency. The skin you described in its head suggests to me the potential of a head injury. A skittish bird like what you have described may have flown into the top of the cage/aviary at some point.

I agree with noodles. Get your bird to a vet.
