I just rescued 2 female Ringneck. Both have bad feathers and over preen. They came from a home with a lot of other birds of different sizes. Iāve put the both in large cages ( each has their own). Iāve only had them a few days so Iām giving them time to settle in and plan on getting them into the vet within a few weeks. Iāve changed their diets from seeds to pellets and fresh foods. The blue one was tame when I picked her up but I didnāt see anyone holding the green one. Is there anything I can do to help with the over preening? Not sure of their ages. The blue one is banded but I havenāt looked at it because Iām trying not to stress her out more. The green one is a lot smaller and not banded but told she is 6 years old
