Bought 4 Month old Hand reared Ringneck

Ringnecks should be interacted with every day, in order to keep them tame. If he is on fact hand reared, he should be hand tame already. so make sure to take him out of cage daily, to play with and do some training and be with you. If he is not, well your job is first to establish trust with him and get him hand trained to step up. A great resource we have here is the "I Love Amazons" thread on the Amazon sub-forum. Much of the information in there is applicable to all parrots. It is worth reading it, aloud, to you new ringneck, in a soothing voice, so he gets used to the sound of your voice.
