Just saw this article After bogus online posting, animals grabbed from sanctuary, official says - Sun Sentinel In short some ************** *********** ********** *********** *********** thought it funny to post an ad on craigslist saying a sanctuary was going out of business and for people to just "take what they want" are people so dumb as to think that's legit? Most likely to cover theft of animals to sell.

anyone from Florida just let people know and get the word out if people have suddenly come into possession of any new pets. Let's get those animals home and make them too hot to handle!

Who the hell bought into this? I hope the animals can be rounded up and returned!

The world is rife with stupidity I guess. I so wish some days we could remove all the warning labels keeping these people alive and let nature take it's course with them. Idiots ruin it for everyone else!

you and me both Kiwi!

I don't understand how people think an ad on craigslist telling them to go in through the back and grab whatever they want is legitimate in any way. But maybe I'm crazy

Naturally people pet stores and vets are the first places that you should inform about this to keep an eye out for sudden new additions to people's families especially without documentation!

RIP Gandalf and Big Bird, you are missed.
Horrific, and yes, people can be stupid, greedy, and diabolical!

Florida has several agencies that monitor and regulate wildlife. Perhaps they can put some muscle into the investigation and retrieval of these stolen animals. If any of them are endangered, perhaps the Feds can take part as well.

Hey there's a jewelry store going out of business near me, just get over there and take what you want.

I hope the people who grabbed monkeys get their faces eaten off.

Ooooops. Too strong. I meant β€œget poo thrown at them”

What's more chilling is the dude also worked at a vet's. Very shady. On the 6th, thankfully an umbrella cockatoo was returned "anonymously" and another animal returned to their rightful keeper.

So sad as many of the animals are on meds, special diets and not to mention require complex care.

Reminds me of the time of "Pet Keeping with Marc Marrone" and some of his birds being stolen.

I'm on the lookout for any local updates. As Scott mentioned, perhaps the agencies should "beef up" investigations.

good to hear some have been returned. It unfortunately looks like this was a long planned theft as from what I've heard on the radio here is that it was one truck that came up to the place and instead of simply breaking the lock it was expertly removed and placed back once done. So Craigslist and exotic animal meets seem to be the most likely places to find them. hopefully the authorities get off their butts and get looking for these animals. they're more innocent than any human and in no way deserve what they're going through
