Is there any way to look back 2001/2002 for lost birds?

When I found Lucky I did not know about parrot forums or all the other ways to check for lost pets.

I checked the local newspaper lost/found for at least a week and never saw anything about a lost Cockatiel.
Because I found him at work and my job was an 83 mile drive from my home I did not try to drive around the area to look for wanted posters.

I feel bad that someone lost him and never knew what happened to him. I doubt I could give him up after all this time but would like to give the original owner peace of mind that he went to a good home and is loved and happy.

I found him in the Oxnard Camarillo area of Ca. :yellow1:

Unfortunately I don't believe a lot of pet finding sites were even around all the way back in 2001/2002 and even if there was one or two I doubt the previous owners still keep track of any post they may or may not have made.

It makes me feel a little bit better to know that the other options for posting/finding lost Fids weren't available back then.

I wanted to keep him the moment I saw him. As I said I did look in the local lost & found but ....

At the time I had 3 Amazons that were only friendly to me and my Son a teenager at the time could not handle them. It was great to have a bird that he could enjoy without danger of serious harm.
