Hello washie, welcome to the Forums but I'm so very sorry to hear of your loss of your cockatiel.

Have you yet listed on Parrot Alert 911? Many lost birds are reunited with their owners through that service, including some among our own Forum community. Their link is included below...

The following links have lots of other great hints and tips for retrieval too...

You can also make up old-fashioned paper flyers to pop into mail boxes in your neighbourhood. I got an IRN back on the same day with this method many years ago. Alert local Facebook community groups, pet shops and ALL local veterinary clinics, not just avian ones.

Sending every good wish and hope that your cockatiel can be safely returned to you very soon!

And a Normal Grey Cockatiel named BB who came home with me on 5/20/2016.
So sorry about the loss of your tiel!

My little boy managed to get out the back door as I was taking out the trash. It was heart wrenching to see him fly in circles in the back yard screaming his little head off,not knowing what to do! He landed in a tree in the back yard, calling for me. Lucky for me,he is super bonded to me,I can't be out of his sight without him going nuts. When I started to enter the back door to get him birdy crack..a.k.a. millet,he flew from the tree (about 40 ft up) and landed on my shoulder as I entered the house. I was LUCKY and so was he!

WE pray ( BB and I )for the safe and quick return of your tiel..good luck and keep us posted please!
