Lucy and Natsu had their 2nd clutch and i'am a bit worried because they just had their 1st clutch last september. I don't want to exhaust them because I think the duration of their 2nd clutch from their 1st is very near wherein I think they were not able to rest.
Lucy laid 4 eggs in her 1st clutch where in 3 of them hatched but 2-3 weeks after 2 of them died because I think they were not fed properly by Lucy and Natsu. The one I decided to handfeed survived and you can see him in the pic (pf normal green just like Natsu)
Last November 1 I found out that Lucy laid 4 eggs again. As soon as I learned about it, I started to double the foods I give them because I think Lucy is not yet recovered from her 1st clutch. I gave them mix seeds, eggs, cabbage, corn. I also put morringga stem, lemon grass, and palm leaves as nesting materials to help for the humidity. I'm expecting that the 1st egg will hatch on November 21 however when I peeked on November 15 all of the eggs were hatched meaning I missed calculated it hehehe. I'm just happy that the 4 eggs hatched and I wish all of them survive. I hope Lucy and Natsu will be better parents now
and they'll feed their chicks properly.
Maybe after the chicks are weaned, i'll remove Lucy and Natsu's nestbox because I don't want them to breed again in a short span of time. I'll let them rest for a while and recover.
