Hello all,

After loosing my little one two weeks ago, I brought home one of his brothers (or sisters) today. He/She will very rarely come down from the top of the cage to eat or drink. Should I be concerned, or is just a process of getting acclimated with the cage?

Thanks for any advice you may have!

I wouldn't worry just yet it may even take a little while to get brave enough to explore =)

My new bird is acting the same way. I don't think he's eating or drinking much from his bowls. But I have been hand feeding him things, putting his dinner on top of the cage with him, and giving him water from a bottle.

I don't know if this is the best approach for getting him eating normally, but at least he's eating something.

I would put a water dish up in the same area where he is so he could get at least water just to be on the safe side.

I have notice my bird taking a bow in the water every hour, is it because of some hot weather or they are normal
