Today I went and got Gabby her new cage.

It's HUGE!!!!!!!! I need to get more toys I believe, what do you all think.

Nice digs for one lovie. :) I personally like cages that are wide and deep, and not so high. If you wonder why, it's because I'm not too fond about cleaning up poop on all of the toys and perches. :54:

If you're looking for inspiration on how to furnish it, check this out:

And I believe THIS was Casey's cage when she kept her lovies together. Note how enormous it is, please:

I love the idea of having a little Hammy Wheel in the cage as a bed. It's so creative!!!! I need to get the rope perches so it doesn't look empty, and I also need to find new food and water bowls (He doesn't like the water bottle, and doesn't know there's a food bowl in there.)

But in time his cage will be nice, and since he stepped up onto my finger while he was in the cage (OMG) he must be really happy.

I just need a new name, I might start calling Gabby, Gabe.

Birdie, my Lutino lovebird.
The cage is so big. :O But I think it's beautiful. I can just imagine all of your birds clinging onto the sides of the cage, just waiting for you to take them out again. :)

And what kind of DNA testing did you do? (Feather or blood sample?)

I was told that there's a way to touch them and figure it out in the pelvis.

Yes, EXPERIENCED breeders can successfully sex them that way. :)

Please don't live under the assumption you now know with 100% certainty who is what.
