Our lovebird is around 14 years old, and one day around a month ago my boyfriend called me and said Elbee fell off his shoulder and just lay on the ground on his back, feet up. He picked him up and petted and soothed him, and soon he was back to normal. It happened a couple of times, but never when I was home to see it. Then one morning it happened with me. He just fell off my shoulder, and just lay there looking at me. He also curls his toes and kind of bites at himself, or my fingers, but it's a gentle bite. And then he's fine again. Today it happened, and it took him longer than usual to recover, I thought we were going to lose him. Does anyone know what's going on with him? I won't be able to talk to his vet until Monday.

It could be seizures. You can get medications for him to be on, as well as a supplement known as Vetri-DMG which can be purchased OTC.

My lovebird fell off his shoulder last Thursday and landed funny or something, and broke his little neck and died. RIP, my lovely lovebird.......I miss you!
