A harness? For flying outside?

I want to be able to take my sweet Cream the Lovebird outside. He loves it when I take his cage outside and chirps happily, and my neighbour's kids love to see him. But I'd love to allow him to come out of his cage outside. What kind of harness would be good for a cute peach faced lovie?

You could probably use a petite Aviator Harness for your lovie! The only thing is that if your bird doesn't love being touched, it may be difficult to train and take much longer than you anticipate. You could also always invest in a small, clear carrier as well if that harness doesn't work out. I'm personally looking into getting a Celtei Pac-o-Bird backpack. One of our members, Kiwibird (April) has one that she decked out and it's awesome!: http://www.parrotforums.com/cages/42946-kiwi-s-carrier-relined-like-pimp-my-ride-parrots.html

There's also the option of a Flight Suit, although I have no personal experience with them and I don't know if they make them small enough for lovies.

I whole-heartedly believe in the Aviator, I believe your bird would be size petite, but be sure to verify before ordering. It is by far the safest option out there. BE SURE to watch the dvd that comes with it before even showing the harness to your bird. Harness wearing is not like putting a collar on a dog - you need to understand it is actually a series of trained behaviors, so be patient :)

Oh my goodness that carrier looks AWESOME! I love it. I think I'll try to see how a harness goes (I can't get it for a while, so Cream and I can focus on getting along a bit better for now). But I like the idea of a big carrier (at least somewhat bigger than the one I have) for him.
