Running out of storage so I decided to clear out my unwanted pictures and I found some of Izzy I thought I could share. I still miss her everyday and wonder how she would have been today, I keep feeling a pang of guilt over her death.

Forgive my pronouns. She would always be running up to the front of the cage to follow me and tumbling in the food dish. I was ecstatic to bring her home because I started to notice the other 2 beginning to pick on her prior.

The neighbor's lovebird and her had a Romeo and Juliet thing going on so she'd always be outside for an hour or two.

She was kind of a pain in the butt when I tried to do my homework. A few days after she took of my "8" key...still haven't fixed it.

I always made sure she would eat outside in hopes of better socialization.

Gonna try make this into two parts because I'm going to end up making a two mile long post!

Continuingggg...

The first time she went up on my arm after deciding my fingers were a tasty snack. (Please ignore the unflattering bathroom shot)

Her middle name became Skarlette after the vet noticed a scar above her nose.

She was my little hawk (looked like one and attacked like one). She hated baths, but I had to get cleaned up a bit.

My mom was the only person that hadn't been bitten by her. Well besides my grandma because she's a Disney princess (every animal loved her!), she would assist me by walking on her back when I gave her back massages.

Okay, sorry again. Looking at my phone again, I realized how much there are so I'm picking a few out of the small bundles.

This is my favorite picture of her on her "playgym". She pretty much claimed the chair. This was a week before she passed and I was lucky enough to spend the entire day with her.

This was the last picture of her, the same night she went. I took it immediately after I realized she learned how to turn around successfully.

I'm getting pretty teary-eyed about this, so I think these are my last pictures. (Hopefully, by now, your wings are grown and your'e flying the highest heights and farthest distances.)

What a gorgeous little Lovie Reid! Sorry to hear she passed away, do you mind my asking what happened? If it's still too painful I understand as I've went through losing a bird too. Hugs, and thank you for sharing!

Thank you all for the kind words :)

No worries, it has been quite a while so I'm pretty okay talking about it.
I'm still not exactly when she got out during the night, but she escaped her cage and found her way downstairs to most likely taunt the dogs. I guess the bolt for the Boston wasn't secured good enough so he escaped. It was a horribly clipped lovebird vs a Boston known to attack other dogs. I woke up finding her not there (on the carpet downstairs) and a boston wondering the house.

Oh no, I am so sorry! My first bird (a Cockatiel) met a similiar fate with a stray cat who snuck in a partially open door :( Accidents happen, I felt so guilty though like I should have been there to prevent it or had esp or something. Hindsight is always 20/20 you know!
