Adopted Lovebird, Have a concern...

I adopted a lovebird yesterday, and after spending some time with her I noticed that there is a patch of feathers missing and the area looks dark/rough almost like a scab. I've attached a couple pictures, anyone have any ideas what this could be?

She was with another bird before she came here so it might be something the other bird did to her.

It may be over preening from the other bird..although it doesn't look bad (or even abnormal) from here. Keep an eye on her, if she over preens in that area you may want to consider an avian vet to rule out any health issues. Congrats on your new companion! May you have many years of love and laughter between you :)

--PUMPKIN - male YS GCC. Hatched Halloween Day 2014. Came home Jan. 4, 2015. Started talking in July '15!

-BUTTERNUT- female TYS GCC Hatched in late Jan. 2016 and came home March 14, 2016
