I wonder if anyone uses harness to take their lovies out? I have Aviator petite that I use for my gcc and tiel, but I was thinking maybe I can put it on Coco as well? Or would it be too big?
She is pretty large for a lovie, and her body is not smaller than my gcc's, just shorter and bulkier. She loves being outside, but she is fully flighted (I hate to clip her) and can only sit in the cage. There is still a few months until it gets warm here so I was wondering if I should start harness training her. She is a very tame girl, and although she hates being handled she never ever bit me when I handled her. She would just probably sit on my shoulder anyway - the harness would be to make sure she doesn't fly off if something frightens her.

I have a petite Aviator harness as well! I'll just say that the size is in relation to the collar part of the harness, and the thickness of the bird's head/neck, not the overall size of the bird, as the straps are completely adjustable.

So if your lovebird has a similar sized neck, it should fit on her just fine! :D
The petite also fits parakeets, so I assume it'll fit a lovebird, unless her neck is much thicker.

I can't wait for it to warm up here so I can take my guys outside again.

Good luck!
