Lovebird house?

I have 2 lovebirds that I got around Christmas. I still haven't gotten them hand tamed yet and still can't get them to come or hold them without having my hand bitten repeatedly. Last week I finished up building a large flight cage, 4'x3' by 6' tall, and they love it. It is outside, near where everyone passes and under a nice ficus tree.

The problem now is that here in South America it is fall and I'm not sure how to keep them warm during the winter. The temperatures here in the winter almost never get below freezing and at night normally are in the low 40's/upper 30's and the coldest day time temperatures in the 50's.

Will these guys go into a house if I build them one for the night? I was thinking about a little space heater because I don't know how ever they will come to my hand to get out and go inside at night.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Thanks!

I got my bird a ceramic space heater with a thermostat on it for our room. Let's us keep the space at the right temperature and it turns off as soon as it gets too warm. We are using it inside however.

Beware of most space heaters, because they may give off fumes that harm your bird. I spent 2 weeks looking for a safe ceramic one with a low heat setting.
