Hey all!
Thanks for the replies to the posts about Jellos "mature" behaviour. I just had the breeder here for a check in with Jello and asked her to recheck her findings that Jello is female, based on behaviour. The last time she checked her gender, Jello was still quite young. WELL- apparently I do not have a girl, its a boy! EXPLAINS EVERYTHING!! So, now I eat humble pie and start saying he instead of she! LoL
I also got an update on Jellos parents (I gave them to this breeder- they run a rescue as well) and found out that Peaches aggressive behaviour has continued and she will never be a pet. They have never seen a hen as bad as her. She actually has continued to lay clutches despite their best efforts to discourage her (no box in cage at all) and actually has killed some her babies that she hatches. They have now started pulling and handfeeding her babies. I definitely made the correct choice giving that pair to a breeder that knows what needs to be done!!
