My lovebird keeps biting her feet?

It's like she's cleaning them, but she won't stop, even if i'm offering food.
There doesn't seem to be any injury or redness, she just won't stop itching.

I was looking online and found some stuff, but I'm unsure if this would be 100% safe:
It says that you can use the gel straight from an aloe vera plant, but I don't own one and doubt i'll be able to get a decent amount out of any of the small organic plants available for purchase.
I then looked on ebay and found this:

It says it's 100% the gel, with just some additives for preserving it from bacteria, or fungi? Even if they are in <1% amounts, would it be safe to apply to her feet, to relieve itching?
She will definitely end up consuming it, even if not intentionally.

(Please don't suggest an avian veterinarian, as the nearest one is at least a few hours away.)

Aloe Vera is safe and great for helping with dry skin. The problem with this is that it may not just be dry skin - there's a possibility that she's chewing at her feet because of some underlaying medical condition that may be causing the pain in her feet. Often times birds will relentlessly chew at a spot because they are experiencing pain there.

You can definitely try using the aloe vera to see if it helps, but if it doesn't I am afraid you do need to see an avian vet to make sure she doesn't have any type of metal poisoning or potential infection that's causing the behaviour.
