Male or female

I have a 9 week old peach - faced lovebird. I can't afford a DNA test, and I'm against DNA sexing birds. Here are a couple pictures of Jordan. Is Jordan male or female? Is there anyway I can tell if Jordan is male or female?

Only because you said it, so I will also: I can afford DNA sex testing and I strongly believe in it.

So, why is it so important to you?

The only real sure way to determine (with the exception of those few Parrots that have clear differences) whether you have a male or female is if she, at some point lays an egg, your Parrot is surgical sexed or DNA sex verification.

Everything else is a guess, sometimes an educated guess, but still a guess!

I think it's not a peach faced.( peach faced never have eyering)
It's peach faced - fisher hybrid. I know some animales or birds hybrids doesn't have sex but I think peach faced and fisher their genum is very close and peach faced- fisher hybrids have sex and can even breed!

Yeah, I thought I saw a lovebird that looked like a Fischer in the cage (the babies were in the same cage as the parents). But I wasn't sure.

Just wondering, why are you against DNA sexing? All they do is take a drop of blood from a clipped toe nail and tell you for sure what sex the bird is, and its cheap now compared to years ago. I understand not really caring the gender - Ive had tbe opportunity to have Loco sexed when blood was drawn, but it really didnt matter much to me plus the bill was already up so another $50 didnt really work for me. It is important to know so you are prepared for egg laying and any precautions for adverse events, but it isnt something that would change my relationship and love for Loco if he wasnt a boy. Years ago they had to surgically sex birds to tell, so its really great that all they need to do is take a little drop of blood almost like a finger prick at the doctors for certain tests.

Well, I guess it just depends on who is drawing the blood. There is no avian veterinarian in my home state. And I don't trust a non avian specialist with my babies. I'm prepared for egg laying, before getting any bjrd, I always prepare for anything.
