a 28 parrot?

Definitely not crazy for different species to feed each other in a domestic setting, many of them try to feed us humans so it's less crazy than that!

Guessing here ... a 28 parrot is the Ringnecks, do you mean that they all want to feed the Lovebird? Are you sure it is feeding and not bullying?

If they are all together and there is any doubts you will need to separate now!

Just one Ringie or all of them?

How did the Lovebird react?

Is this in an aviary? Indoors?

Hello, and welcome to the Parrot Forums family!

I'd never even heard of a 28 parrot before, to be honest. But as Triggs pointed out it is not uncommon for parrots of different species to feed one another. Heck, it's not uncommon for parrots to attempt to feed their humans! Lol! It's a show of affection.

"weirdest" one I saw was a B&G Macaw attempting to feed a Lorikeet

It more ended up with the Lori trying to eat the B&G's tongue!

On another note WOW! Those 28 parrots look super pretty, not seen one of those before. Just keep an eye on them and make sure it's an attempt at feeding/friendly behavior and not an attempt at a fight
