Well.... after several months of being birdless, and after meeting 3 or 4 larger parrots who just did not seem like a good match, hubby and I decided to go in a new (to us) direction and have adopted a wee baby lovebird!
We found a lovely breeder in the next state and waited (im)patiently for him to be weaned.
He’s almost 8 weeks old and is a little blue ball of floof!
He is settling in well. Seems more comfortable every day and is playing, exploring, singing and eating like a horse!
Very tolerant of hands in his cage, as long as those hands are not coming in his direction. Likes to come out for a fly and to look around. Seems very sweet. Have had first vet visit and awaiting DNA results.
Please welcome baby Murphy!
